Low Tide is about Callie's journey from a young teenager to a young widow. I wrote this novella because my husband Keith kept saying I should tell more of Joe's and Callie's life together.
Along the way, I found it was a way to showcase the lives of women born in the 1960s.
Reviews for Low Tide
ES Writes: Low Tide follows a young girl named Callie as she dates her high school sweetheart, Joe, and eventually marries him. They move from Columbia, SC to Charleston, SC. Callie has lived a sheltered life according to the dictates of 1960's society and she is deliriously happy to spread her wings as a young wife finally living in the Caines Island house she has inherited from her aunt.
We get to know and care for Callie through her transformation from a young innocent girl who never lived alone to a strong, independent woman able to care for her own family. When tragedy strikes Callie must find the determination to embrace a new way forward to allow her to remain on the idyllic Caines Island.
